Owl River Runners has a new trailer, and it’s pretty dope!

Edited by Rob Parsons of Let ’Em Laugh productions, and first assistant director for Owl River Runners, the trailer gives us a good glimpse of the characters central to ORR’s story.

Owl River Runners nominated for Best Narrative Feature at Louisiana’s Cinema on the Bayou

Owl River Runners had its US premiere at Louisiana’s 11th annual Cinema on the Bayou Film Festival, screening on January 23rd 2016 at the Acadiana Center for the Arts. Producer Elaine Shannon was there to shake hands and take in the cajun hospitality.

But the cherry on top of the sundae was hearing that Owl River Runners had been nominated in the “Best Narrative Feature” Category. Congratulations to all the Winners and Nominees. We are honoured to be a recognized among such wonderful company!

Owl River Runners featured in Huddle magazine

Huddle - Business is Good

Huddle, an online magazine that tells the stories of the creative, innovative and interesting entrepreneurs working in New Brunswick and throughout the Maritimes, featured an article that talks about the challenges facing the film Industry in New Brunswick, and uses Owl River Runners as a an example of how the talent in this region shines.

Cherise Letson interviewed producers Elaine Shannon and André Goguen about working on a feature film in New Brunswick and the challenges involved.

Owl River Runners will premiere in the US at 11th annual Cinema on the Bayou

Cinema on the Bayou January 20-27th 2016

We are very excited to announce that Owl River runners will have it’s US premiere at the 11th annual Cinema on the Bayou Film Festival which takes place in Lafayette Louisiana from January 20th to the 27th.

This isn’t director Danny Thebeau’s first film to be shown at this festival. In 2012 Danny, along with co-director Donovan Richard, screened their film Délivrance, which went on to win the Inspiration Award that year.

ORR is Opening Gala Feature at Silver Wave Film Festival

Owl River Runners has been selected as the Opening Gala New Brunswick Feature at the 2015 Silver Wave Film Festival!

The film will kick off the 15th year of the annual SWFF this Thursday November 5th at 7 p.m. at Tilley Hall on the UNB campus.

SWFF_Laurel_Leaves2The NB Silver Wave Film Festival (SWFF) screens feature films, documentaries and short films shot in the province and produced by New Brunswick filmmakers. It also showcases some of the best film and videos from Canada and around the world.

Owl River Runners Premieres at the Atlantic Film Festival

The Production team and cast of Owl River Runners gather for one of Elaine’s famous “Shannon Selfies”.

At 9 pm on Monday September 21st, Owl River Runners had its World Premiere at the 35th annual Atlantic Film Festival in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Most of the cast were in attendance, joining Director Danny Thebeau and Producers Elaine Shannon and André Goguen. Everyone left the theatre smiling, and kept on smiling at the Economy Shoe Shop on Argyle Street, where the festivities continued for the Cast and Crew in attendance.

The next screening of Owl River Runners is set for Charlottetown, PEI as part of the inaugural Charlottetown Film Festival on Saturday October 17th at 1 p.m.

We are ecstatic to announce that Owl River Runners is an official selection at the 35th annual Atlantic Film Festival.

The New Brunswick feature film will be screened on Monday, September 21st at 9pm at Cineplex Park Lane – Theatre 4.

This will be the world premiere of Owl River Runners.

On a beautiful evening on may 30th, 2015 at 10:15 pm, something momentous happened (well, for us, at least).

Final colour corrections for Owl River Runners were officially complete, which means our film, the result of over a year of hard work, is complete!

Owl River Runners will now be submitted to film festivals all over the english-speaking world. Our journey with this film is just beginning. We hope you’ll be able to join us somewhere near you soon!

We’ll keep you posted. For now, we’re smiling like silly monkeys.
